Justine turns 1!

Last week was Justine's 1st birthday, and it definitely crept up faster than I expected. She enjoyed small celebrations at school, at home, a trip to our favorite public pool in Marin, and then backyard pooltime at our house over Memorial Day weekend.  We couldn't imagine life without our little sweetheart.  On her first birthday, she is walking like a champ (looking like a drunken sailor), working on 5 or 6 teeth, eating everything in sight, and loving playing with others (especially her brother and blankets/pillows).  And I think she is also saying "mama" pretty clearly, but we'll see if that is really a word that is applied to me or just a consistent sound she makes.

Oh, and now that she has some hair, it is looking strawberry blonde -- apparently we have some redheaded genes going strong!

Love you, baby girl, can't wait for what's in store for you in your 2nd year of life.
