The beginnings of a world traveler

Spencer took his first cross-country trip in early September - to New York! We were so grateful to be able to celebrate with Susannah and Mickey during their beautiful wedding, as well as see so many old friends. 

He did a wonderful job with the plane ride, despite his first two teeth coming through just a few days after we returned. We have a few more trips coming up this fall, so let's hope that pattern continues!

The end of summer

The last days of August are a little sad because Grandma and Grandpa Rees are headed back to Maryland very soon.  But we squeezed in a second trip to the pool and an A's baseball game over Labor Day weekend. (Spencer of course made friends in the baby pool.) We can't even express how wonderful it has been to have my parents taking care of Spencer for the past three months -- we are so incredibly grateful!

 

Over Labor Day weekend, we also went to a baby naming celebration for Spencer's new friend Ava, and decided to have a mini baby photo shoot.  Ava and Ami are just two of the seven (!) new friends Spencer will have in the Bay Area in 2014.
