Camping, pool trips, and the happiest place on Earth

We've had some adventures early this summer.  We got to go camping with our preschool on the Russian River, and we've hit the pool on several occasions. I also decided to take Spencer for a few days for a mother-son trip to LA over the 4th of July.  Thankfully, we were able to stay there with Andrea and Rob and have them expertly host us on a day trip to Disney as well.  I figured it would be the last year that Spencer would love the movie Cars as much as he does now, and I am glad he got to see the Cars Land at California Adventure with awe.

Favorite quotes/moments lately:
  • When telling Spencer he would go see a Frozen show at Disney, he asked me "Is it going to be the *real* Elsa?"
  • When looking a a mannequin at a store, he suddenly asked, "Mom, is that a dead man?"
  • And the ever popular potty talk:  "Grammie and Grandpa don't have bathing suits for the pool. (Pause) They'll have to show their butts!"

Spencer's field trip to Angel Island:

Early July adventures back at Hamilton pool and the Arboretum.  Justine loves the pool so much, she just face plants into the water with excitement, and Spencer is making more progress on the actual swimming:

And of course the Epic trip to SoCal with this guy:
...complete with 4th of July rice krispy treats:
....Lightning McQueen sightings that blew his mind
 ....wonderful photo opps:
 ...3-D rides extraordinaire:
...a bouncy house in Andrea's backyard:
And epic sunsets from their rooftop deck:

And here are some extras of battling just for fun:
